Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski’s return to the big screen, after a nearly two-decade absence, is another impeccably executed production. FOUR NIGHTS WITH ANNA tells the darkly humorous story of a crematorium worker named Leon (Artur Steranko), a quiet loner who fears having to interact with another person. Apparently Leon has served jail time, though the reasons for this aren’t fully explained. When he sets eyes on his beautiful neighbor, Anna (Kinga Preis), an infatuation is born, to the point where he sneaks into her apartment at night to be closer to her.
